Ok, if you had read my post yesterday you’d know that we here at ChatSmileysEmoticons.com were beaten to the with the new Facebook penguin emoticon, and our friends over at djod.co.uk got there first and printed details on how to add it to your chats.

Today we’ll tell you how to do it, and a little background about why it was added by the Facebook development team. We all know that there are not a huge number of smileys available for the chat program, so why di they choose to add this penguin?

Penguins in the computer world are synonymous with Linux, the open source operating system which was orginally being developed to provide a free and stable alternative to Microsoft Windows. It has blossomed into a fully fledged community, and now whenever we see a penguin we think of free, open source and fun!

Or maybe they just love penguins!
