You can never get enough smiley emoticons. They are the basis of smileys and emoticons on the internet! I mean, back in the early 90′s when the Internet was just warming up, AOL chat had the first (as far as I’m concerned) smiley emoticons. They were crazy and they defined a whole internet generation of chat emotions! Then when MSN came out and introduced the world to a whole new set mof smilies and emotes, and the new emotions were born in people everywhere.
Who would have thought that an ‘afterthough’ in AOL would have become one of the biggest money spinners and advertising revenues that there could possibly be. Even after the dotcom bubble burst, instant messaging icons and smileys are still going strong. It’s no wonder that people in social media are still trying to launch new chat services (like Facebook chat) even though the market it almost saturated.
